Concept:
Christine Omo-Amadasun's Sand Castle Render View
For my castle, I wanted to create a unique castle that was inspired by Minecraft, more specifically the sand castles I used to build as a kid while playing the game. So first, I wanted to base off my sand castle on a few things that I found interesting. To start, I wanted to use the foundation with some dune inspired environment. I also wanted my castle to have a game-like aesthetic in order to make it more authentic and real but at the same time having that gamer-feel while also retaining parts of real-life castles as well.
Process:

For my castle's appearance, I wanted to go with the sandy but elegant design. With that, I decided to use rectangular shapes to act as the foundations for the sand castle. I also used cylinders, circles, and squares to go along with the rectangular shapes to make it more dune like while also using small cones to make the lighting and using small squares for the castle to give it more of medieval look for the windows. At first, I wanted to add more shapes in order to make castle look more presentable but due to rendering issues that I have experienced early on, I decided to go with fewer shapes instead of the original plan. But fortunately, it ended up being better than what I had in mind because not only did my castle was beautifully done during the finishing touches while using Keyshot but also it gave me the idea of less is more and the results exceeded my expectations for this project.

Now for the appearance, I decided to use tan for most parts of the castle while for the cones, squares, and some of rectangular shapes I used yellow and blue colors while in the ghosted format. This is different when I was the finishing with my castle using Keyshot, I decided to ditch the tan, yellow and blue color format and went for just the tan but added some shade to add some depth to the finished product. The reason why I removed the original colors for Keyshot was because I wanted my castle to look it came right out of a video game console and in order to make that dream a reality, I have remove some of the original colors to make it more appealing for the finishing touches.
