Pedro Ramos Hernandez: Week 11 Project 3 Serial Slicing

 

Reference:

    I wanted to create an object that represents Greek Pottery, specifically Terracotta. The shape is simple in design, as I wanted it to look like a vase.

Methods:

    I used a cylinder for the base. I exploded the object and removed the top and bottom. I activated the control points and reconstructed the figure, giving me more points to move. I then used the Grasshopper scripts to slice the figure.

Rendering:

    I used the wool texture material in key shot to make it look like cardboard. I used a dark brown color to mimic Terracotta.
