Nicolas Vallier - Project 7 - Geometric Unfolding

For my geometric unfolding, I chose to make a twisted triangular prism. I liked the shape of it because it looked impossible from certain angles. The impossibility sort of loosely ties into Doctor Who, (in which basically everything is impossible. This was even more apparent when I tried to put it together and I had no idea what to do.

Andrew Kelly: Project 7: Geometric Unfolding

This shape is the union of a cube and a diamond-like octahedron.
This is layout was done entirely in rhino - illustrator is my mortal enemy apparently, and I figured out a way to get a roughly equivalent  result - the lines are 50/50 space/line for mountain folds an 35/65 space/line for valley folds. This object is going to be very pleasant to the touch.
