Hadi Zadeh - Assignment 4 Flash Light 4

I had previously made my three flash lights. But for the 3D print I wanted to make a new one with elements from the video game "Half Life". I had this minimalistic design in mind with half life logo in front and a few bumps and dents for detail. The challenging part was making the logo look right. I wanted it to look bent along with the surface of the flash light.

I Used extrude surface straight, patch surface, edge curves and a few other commands. You can see a few steps of the modeling process >>HERE<<

Traditionally, orange is the theme color for half life logo and the related stuff. So I painted the logo in orange and I chose two shades of grey for the metal parts. the bottom part of the flash light made of plastic with some bumps and dents on its back.

Hadi Zadeh - Assignment 4 Flash Light 3

I wanted this model look sporty and water proof. Similar to many water-proof sport wrist watches and GPSes which are made of dotted robber and polished metal.

I used NURBS modeling techniques such as; curve boolean, fillet, revolve, pipe and array polar.

Two Materials, each one is consisted of a robber part and a metal part.

Hadi Zadeh - Assignment 4 Flash Light 2

I wanted to have a different approach to the second assignment. Mr. Scott gave us a flash light a few weeks ago. I haven't had a look at it in the past weeks but I could vaguely remeber it's design so I mixed it with my idea of a rotating button in the middle.

I used NURBS modeling techniques such as; curve boolean, fillet, revolve, pipe and array polar.

I used metal materials for this work because I thought its design fits best with metal material. Both materials have the same idea of a distinguished color for the button.

Hadi Zadeh - Assignment 4 Flash Light 1

I followed the workflow presented by Prof. Scott in his tutorials. For the first exercise I wanted to stick with the concept presented in tutorial.

I used NURBS modeling techniques such as; curve boolean, fillet, revolve, pipe and array polar.

I used 2 different plastic materials with two different idea for colors. I must say I usually implement 2 or 3 colors in my renders. This makes it easy for me to choose and control the colors.

Hadi Zadeh week 3 Duck

I tried to follow the given tutorial as closely as possible for this model.

I followed the tutorial and I used NURBS modeling techniques for this work.

The common colors for duck toys like this are yellow and orange, but I wanted to explore the glass and metal materials in this work.

Hadi Zadeh week 3 Castle

I got the idea of this castle from middle eastern castles, particularly the one in Bam city in Iran, Known As Arq Bam.

I modeled this castle in free-style technique, which means that I didn't have a reference with accurate measurements. I used NURBS models to construct this model.

Materials reflect the actual colors for castles of this type.
