Concept:
My prosthetic is inspired by a grasshopper leg, featuring spines that protrude from the shin, along with larger "spines", almost scales, coming off of the back. The prosthetic would split down the side and have a darker green inner support representing the tibia, then have the lighter green pieces act as a carapace or exoskeleton.
Techniques:
I will likely model the inner support, then model the carapace off of a duplicate, then on top of the carapace I will union in the front spines and rear plates until it looks similar to the sketch, and maintains a desirable level of semblance to the inspiration.
Materials:
The inner support would be made of a lightweight metal or carbon fiber, then the outer pieces could be plastic so that they could be lighter and easily available in different colors.
