Michael Creamer- Week 5: Prosthetic Sketch

Concept:
 My prosthetic idea was to make a prosthetic leg that looked both functional and masculine intended for running and jumping. The foot is a springy recurve, the calf is a large piston, behind the calf is the joint and around the knee is the attachment.

Technique:
I plan on drawing most of the curves first and then creating the 3D forms from them. The design is symmetrical so I can mirror the design down the middle.

Materials:
I currently imagine this as a variety of metals with perhaps one color, that is subject to change when I study the actual model itself and what looks best on it. I may find a way to make the material look like a paint that has been scratched off to reveal the metal beneath.
