Jose Diaz - Hammer

The hammer model is definitely inspired by Norse mythology without looking too much like thorns hammer.

The head of the hammer essentially is a block. There are a couple decorative accents created by using a Boolean difference with the head and some spheres.  The ends of the hammer were made by extruding the surface to a point, making the hammer much more deadly. The edges have been filleted to create smoothness. The handle is a cylinder that have been tapered at the top and inserted in the center of the head. Accents on the handle are made up of torus’ that have been sized to seem as if they are welded into place.

Only three materials make up my hammer; wood, iron, and, bronze. Materials that were available when the stories of the Norse gods were written. Iron for the head for strength. The handle out of wood because of its convenience. And bronze as accents just so it looks good.
