Concept:
My hammer is as close of a a replica of the Gravity Hammer from the halo series as I could possibly get. I choose to try and model this as it has all sorts of nooks and crannies all over it, it also gave me a chance to try more of the new tools we learned in the past weeks.
Process:
In a series of sweeps, revolves, differences and fillets, the monstrosity below was formed. it has four main parts, the handle, head, claws, and the neck. There is a blade on the back, but for simplicity's sake, it is attached to the head. Layering the different parts made it much easier to handle and helped with rendering the different parts to their own materials in Keyshot.
Materials:
The head and the blade are out of two types of darkened steel to match the one in-game piece of equipment, the handles top part is wrapped in leather while the bottom is similar to the head of the hammer. The claws are meant to stand out, so i used a brighter metal to show them off a bit better.
