Rochelle Offret: Light Saber

Concept: I took my inspiration from this image I found of a light-saber online.  I really liked the idea of having some tribal patterns on it. 

Process: Using a series of 2D curves and revolve, I created a basic shape for the main part of the shaft.  Then I used a control point curve to draw out a simple tribal design.  I then projected that curve onto the surface of the shaft, then using pipe and Boolean difference, I imprinted that design onto the material.

Materials: For materials I decided to just go with a nice brushed steel, with accents of blue.
