To make the model I started with a sphere. After which I extruded the faces on the 4 cardinal directions of it. Using a series of extrudes and inserted edge loops I finally ended up with my completed model. To make the slots for the waffling I used the pipe method.

Ryan Whorton: Week 11-12 Architectonic Lamp
My design intent began with as it has for most of my projects this semester with video games. I wanted to go with a spherical design held up by something like Cocoon from Final Fantasy XIII-2. Combing this concept with my love of symmetry I also wanted to make something that looked like a normal decorative piece.

To make the model I started with a sphere. After which I extruded the faces on the 4 cardinal directions of it. Using a series of extrudes and inserted edge loops I finally ended up with my completed model. To make the slots for the waffling I used the pipe method.
