Pendant: Free Form Project

Continuing from my slots project, I wanted to create a pendant that would tie into the design of my Islamic based design. Simple in profile but intriguing to the touch was a goal. The model will be 3D printed, molded with silicone, from which a bismuth cast will be poured.

I isolated my favorite component from the slots and patched the curve to create a surface. Following this, I extruded the surface and Filleted the edges. Using the Circle tool from the Curve menu in conjunction with the Pipe tool and Boolean Union, I created a eyelet for a fastener to be thread through.
