Blake Kostroun - 3D Scan

Concept:

To get a full body scan of myself and to have a digital preservation of myself at the age of 20. 

Techniques:

At the studio of Captured Dimensions that I interned for, they specialize in 3D Scanning and now working with VR technology. They have a full body scanning room equipped with 60 cameras that surround you, and once in your desired pose they fire off the cameras all at once to capture the data using photogrammetry. In the first photo you can see the raw data output, I cleaned it up and smoothed out the surfaces.

Textured based off of scan data applied to model.
