Design
I drew my inspiration from Rapunzel's tower and wanted to make something long and wrapped around the castle like a stairway. I also thought it would be cute to make the castle look like tiered cakes.Process
I heavily used ArrayPolar, BooleanSplit, Bevel, Copy, Rotate, and creating pipes and surfaces through drawn curves. I moved, scaled, and rotate things primarily with the fantastic Gumball tool.
Final Model
Materials
I intended to replicate the textures and materials of fondant for the base, metallic candy pearls for the gems, glossy gumballs for the toppers, and jolly rancher hard candy For the stairways. I wanted it to look like a sugary fantasy.
