Clay Purdy: Project 1 Castle

Concept: My castle was inspired by Castle Ottis, a castle I found by google image searching "castle"
Process: I started out by creating the five base towers using the ArrayPolar tool. I wanted it to have a strong, sturdy looking base, like a fortified tower but as the tower gets taller, things become more open and less symmetrical.

Materials: For the main body I used a Translucent White Porcelain and for the supports and the crenellations I used varying clear blue plastics. I chose all of these materials because I liked the shiny, subsurface light scattering properties. The overall composition gives it an ice castle look. For the base I used a dark wood to give it a small scale model feel.
