Clara Crossland: Laser Scanning in Detail

Concept: I was in a team for this project. My partner sculpted her face for another class then shared her scan data with me. I wanted the face to look like it was placed with care, it was supposed to be placed in a area where a lot of students would see it.

Rapid Works NURBS Patch

Rhino Naked Edge Analysis

Techniques: After being sculpted this object was placed into Scan studio and was then polished in Rapid Works. It was then put into Rhino where it was checked for naked edges and any other little mistakes. Then it was worked on in Keyshot to add into an environment. The picture was then worked into Photoshop to add shadows and little details to make it seem like it fit into the environment.

1st Keyshot Envoirnment

2nd Keyshot Environment

Materials: Rapid Works, Rhino, Keyshot, Photoshop, Scan Studio. While rendering I decided the first render should be made of a light wood material to match the rest of the stage. For the second one i wanted a very smooth glass material that would reflect the light.
