Metal Flashlight

I based this flashlight on the original Eveready Flashlight we had when I was a kid, It had a shiny metal case with a magnet on the side to hold it to the hood of your car while you worked on the engine. So few people work on their own cars anymore, so I decided to lose the magnet, add a pushbutton switch and give it a more modern look while retaining the case design.

I used an array of toroid's to for the grip ridges on the metal handle and parabolas for the lens area.

Black plastic material was used for the lens housing and end cap. I chose to display it resting on a table ready for use. Sometime in the future, I'll adjust the angle so it rests properly on the table.
