Chelsea Griffin: Laser Scanning - Week 15

Mind's Eye
Concept: I am currently working on a project in Storytelling for New Media I that involves stop-motion animation. It involves a story about a nameless character with a stop-motion animated eye creature living inside of their head.

Technique: For the scan, the software Scan Studio was used. I cleaned up the file in Rapid Works then separated the body parts into layers using Rhino. The final rendering was done in Keyshot 5 using images taken around the UTD campus.
Materials: The materials used for the sculpture were wires for the armature, putty to reinforce the armature, and Plasticine clay for covering the body and creating the base.
