Kirsten Nickles - Laser Cutting - Finger-Jointed Box

The approach was to use laser cutting techniques via CAD design using a laser cutting to trim a board of ply-wood in order to construct a finger-jointed box. The deep laser cuts on the outside define the functions and outer construction of the box. The inner design cuts are done to compliment the appearance of the box.

Helsmans semi-gloss used to add a finishing coat.
The resulting final product.
