concept
I decided to do my box for my mother who is a very enthusiastic maverick fan. I liked the challenge and I went to find the most iconic imagery associated with the team.
technique
I looked for the most iconic imagery for the team and transferred it to illustrator.I particularly like the Dirk nowitzki fade away silhouette.
materials
i used after much trial and error birch wood for my laser cut. I originally used oak plywood but it burned up twice and for some reason the birch which was not even a hair thinner and worked fine. so i learned there is more to laser cutting than .25 thickness. I assembled the box with hot glue.
