Render in passes: David Hobson

Concept:

rendering our projects in passes through either rhino or keyshot allows us to in a way, lie. not that that's a good or bad thing, but we can now hide imperfections and accentuate the parts we love.
for this project, i took my castle from the beginning of the semester and rendered it out with basic materials and tried to blend them into something else

Products:

the first one has a more natural look. since its a constructivist brutalism themed castle, i tried to make it look more like its deconstructivist counterpart. giving it more green, applying grass textures, and putting more emphasis on the cracks in th marbling helped achieve this look.
another version i tried to create is influenced on one of my favourite sculptors and artist, Rachel Whitereed. she creates non-traditional negatives of normal and obscure objects. her main outlet is resin molding and each piece is has its own little story to show. i tried to mock her brighter colored, clear molded objects she put on display in vienna years ago.
