Concept:
The idea that inspired my model was to consider what would
be helpful for a prosthetic leg. A solar panel is an alternative form of power
and can charge an electronic device. Having a smaller solar panel to charge a
phone can help if the phone charger is unavailable. For example, If the user wanted to go for a walk without carrying the charger, the solar panel will be able to assist depending on what time of day it is.
Process:
I started out learning tutorials to build up a template for the leg before adding shapes onto it. I added large balls onto the leg to add a unique design and a phone holder on the right of the leg accessory. A solar panel was added on the left of the leg. I also separated the prosthetic leg from the foot to show where to combine them so that they wouldn’t be stuck together.
Materials:
The materials I thought about would be metal for the phone
and the balls on the leg, leather for the phone holder and foot, and plastic
for the leg.
