Amanda Marder: Laser Cutter Products

After re-working these two specific files, I finally have some products cut out of ply wood!

Wine Box:

Fully functional and temporarily fastened with rubbery bands while the epoxy dries.

 "Text" grade engraving done that wraps around.

Business Card Box:

Dimension wise is perfect for the business card box, however choice of material was not.  I thought the issue was the pattern I used for the living joint but I think I just need to use bending ply versus regular plywood.

However, my sliding latch works flawlessly so that's a bonus.

Amanda Marder: Week5 Laser Cut Product Samples

So once I created several patterns for living joints I wanted to integrate mechanisms and start creating products.  I did a trial cut in cardboard to see how pieces assemble and guesstimate how they will behave once cut in wood.
