Real Life Project - Trinity Hernandez

Concept

Simple but textured is something I kept in mind for this project. Using bumps, lifted areas, and cut-outs to give the wielder something to feel while they travel. Wanting to use a zig-zag pattern on the outer mouth for texture, adding bumps in the middle for better grip, and want to holes for adding functions. Also want to color yellow for seeable at night with dark blue inside. That started this whole project.

Process

Starting in Maya, I want to create a simple tube with one side having a wider opening. Looking at the flashlight for ideas. The grooves on the holder are met from texture and easy holding. The holes were made with solid cylinders formed into a star then used to cute into the mesh. The widen end has a zig-zag pattern on the outside for more texture. After transferring the file in Rhino and changing the dimension to my liking, it was to the 3D print to print it out the model. Sanding and painting it, with adding string and a wood stick for more fun.

Materials

The materials need and used were 3D filament, yellow paint, blue paint, string, and 1/4 in diameter wooden stick. Sanding paper also when it come to the making it even and coarse from the paint to stick to.
