Kendall Corless - Lamp Assignment

For this project I wanted to use a interesting shape for my lamp. The nautilus shell is a really beautiful shape from nature. So I decided to try to base my design off that but trying to make it a little more interesting, So I put three back to back and then designed a center structure  for them  to connect to.

Below is some sort of light I game a cross in an image search that was one of the main inspirations for this design. I love the way the light is lighting the structure from the inside.

I am currently still having issues that I am hoping to solve very soon so I can send it off to the printer. More final images to come...

The final image, due to a miss calculation with the pipeing my slot size was twice as big as it should of been, it made it pretty much impossible to construct it so after about 5 hours of trying to make it work I just stopped at this point.

Kendall Corless - Waffles

I was having a whole lot of issues getting the script to work on several models that I made as a result this is what I ended up with which was  just very basic geometric shapes two spheres and two cones booleaned together. It reminded me of volcanoes at one angle and then a pair of eyes at another.

Was not enough time in the end to print

Kendall Corless - Slots

While thinking about making these slots I decided that they reminded of snowflakes and their uniformity and symmetry. Snow flakes are very modular and some pretty interesting patterns can be created from them. So I based my design off of snow flakes and I'm interested in what I can come up with when constructing these pieces. For this process I used Rhino to create my slot pattern.

Kendall Corless - Project 3 - Rex

For the third project I wanted to use a model I had made a couple months back, which I thought would have an interesting look all cut up.The original concept art was done by the guys at Creature Box, it was in one of there digital sketchbooks they sell. I sculpted this model in Zbrush as well as the texture. My original Render was done in Zbrush and I comped it together in Photoshop.

Left is an old render I did of the model.
Right is the original concept art by CreatureBox

Ghosted wire frames of my model after decimated down in Zbrush (151k Polys)

Kendall Corless - Project 2 - Flash Light Case

Here is my flashlight so far, decided to do it batman themed. Not sure if all the rendered views were suppose to be their own images but I combined them all into one.
It is being printed over at the UTD tech store for quite a bit less.

Kendall Corless Project 1 Update - Shark Head

I sculpted and painted it in Zbrush. Also, I tossed it into Keyshot for a quick render.
There was a couple of things I was thinking I might do with this. First, I was thinking of making it into some sort of pen holder for my tablet pen by cutting it in half so it would have a flat base, and then I'd have a model of me (waist up) in its mouth holding my hands up in the air where I could then set my pen. My second option is to add a stand to the final version so it can sit up right.

I ended up combing two models I made into one,  I think it creates a much more interesting composition than just the shark its self.

The ghosted wire frame isnt much to look at since it was sculpted in zbrush and the poly count is so high, I didnt see a purpose to retopoloy on this model.
Here is my model uploaded to Shape ways passing the checks.
I've noticed everyone's prices are pretty high for their models and they are on the smaller side.
My original cost was around $77 I think, I went back and hollowed out my model in zbrush and lowered it to $22 cost me $27 after shipping.

Here is what it looks like under the base, it was pretty simple to hollow out if anyone wants to know how to do it id be happy to help. It saved me a bundle.
