Zane Alberts Polyhedra
Concept: The shape itself came from Polyhedra.net, where I chose the pyramid shape from a number of other options. I did so because of its sturdiness, and because pyramids are an ancient and fascinating vein of structures.Techniques: After downloading the pdf, I ran it through Adobe Illustrator so I could convert the interior fold lines into dashed lines, fitting with our requirements for printing. After that, I went onto Rhino and correctly color coded the layers to be appropriate for the printing.
Materials: I used e-flute cardboard and will use glue to permanently attach the pieces.
