For this the waffle structures I was looking at all the other waffle structures and architecture on the internet. The use of organic waves and flowy shapes was very prominent, so I based my ideas off of that. I wanted to procedurally generate a rough waterlike structure for my slots and see if I could convert them properly.
I haven't completely converted the mesh at this point and it's still gonna take some messing with as well as me buying new materials and more tweaking before I get everything down, but I'm happy with how it's turning out:
