Inspiration
The idea for the skateboard design came from packaging icons and I wanted to create a sort of pattern out of those icons along with my own designs. In the end, I didn't really use much of the traditional symbols and made a pattern out of my own icons.
Techniques
The design was created entirely within illustrator and then sent out to Rhino to be placed on the outline for laser engraving. I created the mockup in photoshop as that was easier than modelling a skateboard's curves.
