Blake Artesi - Week 6 Sliced Flashlight

For my sliced up model, I decided to go with the flashlight for simplicity sake.  However, having read some of the responses on the other blogs, I think it probably wouldn't work given its current state.  My question is, would it work if I simply left the lens in to close off the hole in the top?  If so I would gladly do that so I can use the flashlight, and if it does work, how many bases would I need, just one?

Going off what I said at the top, I am working on doing a sliced model with the lens and one base in the middle that goes the entire length of the flash light, just in case I need it if this one doesn't work.

After some alterations with my original sheet layout, I managed to make the flashlight bigger (in order to take up more of the sheet) as well as put the cores closer together.  I left the lens in on this one as well as tried filling the hollowed out parts of the flashlight with another cylinder.  I hope this one is better but I do have one question that I can hopefully get an answer to.  If filling in the hollowed out part with another cylinder isn't good enough, would it work for me to just, go into the sheet and delete the inner magenta rings?  My thought process is, that if I deleted the inner rings then that would make it not hollow (for there would be only the one out ring and that would be the only thing I would cut on for the actual model).  I'm not entirely sure about all this but I am trying to get it the way it needs to be.
