Devon Youngbird- Week 3: Hammer

Concept: The idea for the hammer was inspired by a cartoon feeling future. The hammer has glowing rings around the main body, so I could use the glowing material. It's at its base, a simple hammer. I just wanted to put a futuristic spin on it with the simple addition of glowing rings.

Technique: This hammer was composed of curves and simple shapes/cutouts. The main head of the hammer was made up of curves entirely- using extrusions to get the shape. I filleted the edges as well to create an overall smoothness to the model. The handle was primitives with cutouts and the same with the rings circling the model.

Material: The materials used were- metal, emissive lighting, and a rubber material. The main body of the hammer used a metal, the handle used the rubber material, and the rings used emissive to glow. Overall, I think these materials helped sell the idea of a space hammer and complimented another well.
