Concept: The concept behind this mouse is from the comic strip Spy Vs Spy. The large track ball is similar to the eyes and the pointed front end of the mouse is like the nose. Also wanted to create a weird mouse where the track ball is also the left mouse button and the right mouse button would look like a scroll wheel.
Modelling Techniques: Had issues with the tutorial where he used the sweep tool to create the bottom edge of the mouse. I ended up improvising and recreating the mouse with the previous methods the we have learned. I used Boolean difference and carve away from an ellipsoid that I shaped.
Materials: I originally wanted to use carbon fiber for the main portion of the mouse but it came off looking really dark. I ended up using a white rough plastic and made it look like the white version of the spy. The track ball and the right mouse button is transparent plastic with the refraction index turned down.
